My reason to convert from Bahaism and leave bahais society goes back to when I thought about the future of political / religious framework.

In an ideal Bahai condition, when people convert to Bahaism in multitudes and most people become bahais, Universal House of Justice has to enforce the orders and laws of Kitab-e-Aqdas (The Most Holy Book) one by one – which currently cannot do that. As I know, each UHJ at that time, regardless of how it will be chosen and how long will it be responsible for one or some periods, will have no other choice other than to enforce Kitab-e-Aqdas orders and laws; because they are not able to abrogate or change Bahaullah explicit orders and writings. Thus, all bahai community members follow Kitab-e-Aqdas laws and orders and local assemblies will govern and enforce them. In other words, this situation yields ‘a gevernment in a government’. In addition, bahais are prohibited from involvement in politics, except where casting votes are mandatory, hence we can suppose that bahais government has already been appeard.

Although I personaly believe that bahais laws and orders are not enforceable, this is the logical results of the plan created by Bahaullah. So why should I stay there? I do not need to talk about spiritual and moral contents in the writings of Bahaullah, abdulbaha and even shoghi afandi and UHJ.

As I face challenges regarding my health that I may encounter sudden death, my viewpoints have changed and I reckon I do not want to die as a bahai, because then my death and inheritance will be under bahais orders, not the way I prefer. That is why I decided to leave Bahaism.

I was an active bahai for 8 years however, I gradually lost my beliefs in Bahaullah and converted to Christianity and became a member of catholic church. I almost forgot my bahai life until recently had some interview about leaving Bahaism. These interviews made me realize two points:

  1. I did not see any reason to talk about my leaving, thus when I look back, I may have trouble explaining my reasons. This weblog is for thinking and reminding those reasons.
  2. Most Bahais that I know have no information or are misinformed about other religions. What they know, or think they know, they have acquired either through rumors and slang, or through Bahai friends and teachers. Because I am a Christian myself, I am sensitive to their attitude towards Christianity. So, my blog is a place to explain Christianity to Bahais. (By Christianity I mean the Catholic-Orthodox branch of Christianity that makes up almost the vast majority of the Christian world.)
